Is it compulsory for every Eurovision song to sound exactly the same?
I cannot express how monumentally excited I am about the prospect of two weeks of revision. We’ll see how long it lasts.
I’m pretty happy with this.
Aside from all the “obvious example against the existence of a loving God”-kind-of-stuff, the Japanese disaster today is more humbling than anything. It just shows us how arrogant we humans really are. We think we’re better than nature, we think we have the right to own and control this planet. Obviously not, and today has proved that.
It was Pancake Day today?! Damn!

It’s all this news about uprising in various African countries that’s got me thinking recently, especially these latest Libyan genocides. I’m not a religious person, and I don’t believe in any form of a higher being with any interest in the human race, and I’m not here at all to attack anyone’s deeply help beliefs, but what gets me is how supposedly religious leaders, such as the Islamic Gaddafi, can possibly believe in a higher being, or the existence of a heaven-like afterlife, if they commit such evil atrocities in this mortal world. I’m sure spiritualists will argue that “there has to be evil in the world for us to appreciate the good”. I ask the question, “why?”. Surely an all-powerful being would have no need to show us evil for us to appreciate good. Surely, if everything in the world was good (by good I mean, not evil), and had always been good, we would know no other way of life, and thus would have no need for an opposing evil. Sure, we supposedly have free will to do whatever what we like, including evil, but why would a higher being instil in various people such horrific tendencies? Besides, if the higher being knows about the atrocities, and chooses to do nothing about it, they are not all good and thus should not be worshipped. If the higher being knows nothing about the atrocities, then they are not all-knowing. If the higher being knows about the atrocities, but can do nothing about it, they are not all-powerful. I just don’t see it.
Anyhow, that’s my rant.
Gainsborough interview went pretty well tonight, even if Mr. Ryan was staring at us the whole time. Actually makes me more optimistic about the Uni ones now.
Going to Cambridge Uni today, and seeing how good it was, made me think - I actually need to do some work. I want to go there, I really do, but I know I won’t make it if my grades are shit. So, I guess I’ve got to pull my finger out now. Great.
